ALLAH IS SO AMAZING. HE FORGIVES US OF SO MUCH AND GIVES US SO MUCH. I KNOW THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I’LL FORGET TO THANK HIM FOR SOMETHING BUT RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT TO
SAY: SHUKRAN YA ALLAH.

The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. (2:185)

How to Increase Your Love for Allah

Ibn Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that there are 10 things that bring about the love of Allah SWT:
1) Recitation of the Qur’an with reflection and with understanding of its meanings.
2) Seeking closeness to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after having performed obligatory ones, this leads one to the highest levels of love.
3) Remembering Allah during every situation, with one’s time, heart and deeds. One’s share of that love is to the degree of one’s share in that remembrance.
4) Preferring what Allah loves to what you love, when your desires are strong.
5) Allowing your heart to reflect on Allah’s names and attributes.

7 Ways to Improve Your Relationship with The Qur’an

“وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا”

“O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’an as a thing (abandoned)” [Surah 25: 30]

ARE you one of those people who rarely touch the Qur’an?

A Ramadan Checklist

1. Ask Allah to enable you to reach Ramadan and to get the most out of it as the Salaf used to do.

2. Intend to fast every day with Iman and pure intention seeking the reward from Allah alone. The Prophet peace be upon him said, “Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven”. (Bukhari)

3. Read the whole Qur’an at least once as the Prophet peace be upon him did.

4. Have Suhoor as the Prophet peace be upon him said, “Have Suhoor because it is blessed”.

5. Make Du’a during the fast because the Prophet peace be upon him said that three people’s supplication is not rejected one of them is the fasting person. Ask for the good of this life and the next for yourself, your family and Muslims in general.
