Shaytan is locked up for that one month in Ramadan but his impact on us from the past 11 months worth of waswasey remains upon us. And that is why people don’t hold back from sinning even in ramadan. Don’t think that it becomes impossible to sin in Ramadan, it isn’t but when you sin in ramadan, you do it on your own, without the shayateen persuading you in any way. Whereas the rest of the year, he is whispering into our hearts constantly.

Tips of Modesty

1. Al Hayaa, shamefulness when committing a crime
When Adam committed the crime, Allah asked “Are you escaping from me Oh Adam?”. He then answered “no my Lord, rather being ashamed in front of You”
2. Hayaa Taqseer, shamefulness of deficiency
Angels, who glorify Allah day and night and never disobey Him, still, upon Judgment Day, say “You, are far from imperfection and we did not truly carry out Your worship”
3. Hayaa Ijlaal, modesty regarding the magnificence of Allah
This is the level of knowledge a slave has of his Lord
4. Hayaa Karm, modesty being hospitable
When the prophet was called to the wedding part of Zainab, he was shy in telling them to leave
5. Hayaa Hishma, shyness regarding personal matters
Being shy when discussing sexual and intimate details with others.

We Need Ramadhan :)

Ramadhaan is a month of Forgiveness.
Ramadhaan is a month of Rahmah.
Ramadhaan is the month of generosity.
Ramadhaan, the month that Allaah subhaanahu wa ta’ala accepts the Tawbah of the servants, and the month that Allaah blesses His servants.
We are in need of Ramadhaan to correct ourselves, for we have forgotten Allaah tabarak wa ta’ala for the majority of the year.
To correct ourselves for we have been neglectful.

The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.

Don’t belittle any good deed even to meet your brothers with a smiling face.’ He also said: ‘Your smile in the face of your brothers is an act of charity.Cite Arrow The Prophet (saw)

ALLAH IS SO AMAZING. HE FORGIVES US OF SO MUCH AND GIVES US SO MUCH. I KNOW THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I’LL FORGET TO THANK HIM FOR SOMETHING BUT RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT TO
SAY: SHUKRAN YA ALLAH.

How to Increase Your Love for Allah

Ibn Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that there are 10 things that bring about the love of Allah SWT:
1) Recitation of the Qur’an with reflection and with understanding of its meanings.
2) Seeking closeness to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after having performed obligatory ones, this leads one to the highest levels of love.
3) Remembering Allah during every situation, with one’s time, heart and deeds. One’s share of that love is to the degree of one’s share in that remembrance.
4) Preferring what Allah loves to what you love, when your desires are strong.
5) Allowing your heart to reflect on Allah’s names and attributes.
